The magnificent geographical and climatic variety turns Argentina into a perfect destination to travel and live a unique and wonderful experience.

From North to South, the diverse and stunning attractions allow Argentinaes and foreigners to enjoy the full intensity and extent of territory, sharing with the locals their traditions and landscapes.

Argentina is, without a doubt, rich in its contrasts. A place where the colours, the weather and the feelings vary everywhere you go. Where beauty and amusement can be found in a thousand and one different scenarios, but there’s something that is never going to change: the friendship, the warmth of the people and the pleasure of entertaining a traveller.

Your trip to Argentina can start in any of the following destinations:

LITHORAL “THE LAND OF THE GREAT RIVERS”

It is the region of large rivers, wetlands, red earth and virgin forest full of huge trees and extraordinary flora and fauna. The great waters - Iguazu in Guaraní language - overflowing into one of the world's wonders: the Iguazu Falls.

A full scenerio of exuberant beauty spreading along the Iguazú National Park, the Moconá , the Rio Pilcomayo National Park, El Palmar National Park, The Iberá Marshes, the Santa Fe plain or the Chaco prairie.

NORTH “THE SHELTER FOR TRADITION AND PRE-COLOMBIAN ART”

Northern provinces feature traces of pre-Columbian cultures, mingled with ruins of natives’ villages, as well as forts and constructions dating back to the time of the Conquest and Colonization.

Time seems to stand still in the high plateau of the Puna, a land full of mountain ranges, steep mountain paths, and gorges. Villages have been built in the small valleys. Multi-coloured and monochromatic hills covered with huge cactuses on the slopes surround the villages.

CUYO “WHERE THE WINE IS BORN AND THE SUN LIVES”

Cuyo – “Desert country” in Indian language - is the region of the high peaks, snow-capped volcanoes and vast spreading from the Andes foothills to the steppe, where pink flamingos, Andean ducks , vicuñas and guanacos roam freely in parks and natural reserves, under the silent flight of condors.

A real journey to the dinosaurs’ era is the excursion to visit Ischigualasto Provincial Park and the Sierra de las Quijadas National Park. Ischigualasto, also known as “Moon Valley” due to the amazing shape and colors of its landscape shaped by the erosion, is one of the most important paleontological sites in the world.

The region shows the central Andes in all its glory: Aconcagua (6.960,8 m), the highest peak in the Western Hemisphere. A cold white blanket covers the incredible mountain slopes enjoyed by all latitudes skiers.

In Mendoza and San Juan valleys, among leaves of grapevines, farms and wineries, you can follow the wine route, an elixir that has achieved international recognition.

CÓRDOBA “THE COUNTRY’S HEART”

Cultural and touristic, traditional and modern, industrial and handcrafted, Cordoba is one of the most important economic centers of the country. This region is characterized by its hilly landscape and mild weather, combining natural landscapes with colonial architectural monuments. Little towns, historical antiques and cave paintings are found in a pleasant valley landscape, high plains and gorges.

Cordoba’s hills rise towards the northwestern Pampas plains. They reach its maximum altitude of 2.790 m. at the Champaqui Hill. All these hills are particularly appealing because of their fertile valleys, deserts and salt mines. Heading northwards, visitors shall find many 17th and 18th century chapels and estancias inherited from the Jesuits.

BUENOS AIRES “THE BIG DOOR AND THE GAUCHO’S DOMAIN”

Buenos Aires is one of the biggest cities in the world, a megalopolis with over eleven million inhabitants. It’s also the most elegant and active in South America and the one that better sums up the varied and heterogeneous essence of Argentina.

Its modern constructions and dynamic activities, Buenos Aires has managed to preserve old traditions and charming corners. isitors are fascinated by its environment, the individuality of each of its neighborhoods, the friendly people and the wide range of cultural and commercial offers. Buenos Aires, surrounded by Argentina's splendid countryside, is the great cosmopolitan doorway to South America. The land and its traditions, the sun and the sea, the calm and adventure, the delta and its mysteries, invites all to Buenos Aires.

PATAGONIA “BETWEEN THE ANDES AND THE ATHLANTIC, THE MYTHICAL PATAGONIA”

The Andes mountain range shows its beauty in the Patagonian provinces. Millennial silent forests with native species are extended along the shores of glistening waters. On top of the mountains, nature overflows with granite peaks and ice fields spreading their glacier tongues into lakes of unsurpassable beauty.

Imposing mammals and sea birds, half-way between real life and fantasy, spend certain seasons on the rough coasts of Patagonia where they complete part of their life cycle. Seals colonies play on the islets and sandbanks. The world’s most important southern elephant seal continental colony is located in Peninsula Valdés. Every year, southern right whales come to these areas to breed. Patagonian hares, “ñandúes” (South American ostrich) and “guanacos” run about the steppes, and the largest continental rookery of Magellanic penguins in the world is located in Punta Tombo. This life cycle repeated since time immemorial, unfolds itself in front of the astonished visitors’ eyes. In the south, Tierra del Fuego and the World’s southernmost city, Ushuaia, are the gateway towards the vast and mysterious Antarctica.
